Introduction to Birdwatching is a course designed to introduce you to the joys of birdwatching in the nation’s capital. This two-part course focuses on all the topics that are important to beginning birders: equipment, field guides, birding ethics, identification, taxonomy, and the best birding sites in the city. The course includes a classroom session that covers the basics of birding in DC and a field trip that helps you put what you learn into practice. The course is taught by members of the DC Bird Alliance.
