CALL FOR NOMINATIONS – DC BIRD ALLIANCE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dear Members and Friends of DC Bird Alliance,
As we prepare for our Annual Meeting on Saturday, November 15, 2025, we invite nominations for the Board of Directors of DC Bird Alliance. Serving on the Board is both a privilege and a responsibility — Board members provide strategic leadership, ensure strong governance, and support the fundraising and community partnerships that sustain our mission.
Board service at a glance:
Directors are elected for two-year terms and may serve up to six consecutive years.
The Board meets regularly to guide organizational strategy, oversee finances, and support our conservation and community programs.
Directors are expected to attend meetings, actively participate in committees or initiatives, and contribute to fundraising and outreach efforts.
Eligibility and process:
Nominees must be members of DC Bird Alliance in good standing as of the Record Date: October 19, 2025.
Nominations must be submitted by October 19, 2025
Nominations are coordinated through the Governance Committee and approved by the Board. Members may also submit nominees if supported in writing by at least 5% of the membership, with complete documentation submitted by the deadline above.
