sUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS FOR THE 2025-2026 SPRING MIGRATION CALENDAR!

Help us create the 2025-2026 Spring Migration Calendar, featuring birds photographed in Washington, DC, by our members.

We hope the community calendar will inspire everyone to get outside in Washington, DC, to observe and photograph birds. Sales from the calendar support the chapter’s education, conservation, and outreach efforts.

After reading the submission requirements and guidelines below, you can submit up to 10 photos between now and March 31, 2025.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES

·      Photographs must have been taken in Washington, DC.

·      Photographs must depict birdlife (i.e., contain at least one bird or bird part) and accurately reflect the subject matter as it appeared in the viewfinder. Normal processing of the original file is acceptable.

·      Participants between the ages of 13 and 17 years old must have their parent/legal guardian’s permission to enter, who must complete the participant’s registration on behalf of the child.

·      DCBA encourages every photographer to practice responsible bird photography. Please review Audubon’s Guide to Ethical Bird Photography and Videography and follow all guidelines.

·      Submission to the calendar grants DCBA permission to use all submission for non-profit purposes other than for the calendar project with proper credit line. Ownership and authorship will belong to original photographer.
